Welcome to the Taneytown Heritage and Museum Association, Inc.
We are pleased to announce that in October 2014, the Taneytown Heritage Committee, established in 1986, and the Taneytown History Museum, established in 2004, merged to form Taneytown Heritage and Museum Association, Inc.(T.H.M.A.). T.H.M.A. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Grand Opening – Spring 2016
The Taneytown History Museum is temporarily closed and will reopen at its new location in spring, 2016.
There are several small exhibits at the New Windsor State Bank Taneytown Branch, 222 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD. Gift shop items are also displayed at the Bank and are available for purchase.
2015 Upcoming Events
T.H.M.A. meetings are held at Grace United Church of Christ, Parish Hall. All meetings begin at 7:00pm with a short business meeting followed by a guest speaker and light refreshments. The parking lot is on Maple Drive behind the church with handicap parking available on Cemetery Road. Meetings are free and open to the public.
The March 28th T.H.M.A. meeting will feature Brian Johnson. He plans to attend in “native dress” and speak on the Eastern Woodland Indians which inhabited this area.
